Objectives
1. Students will use examples and different sources to be able to understand what the effects of Watergate were and how it effected the country.
2. Students will use primary sources to determine the effectiveness of presidential speeches and to evaluate the effectiveness of an American President.
3. Students will be able to analyze a primary source document and draw conclusions on a particular event.
4. Students will be able to describe Jimmy Carter's foreign and domestic policy beliefs and their effect on US foreign and domestic relations.
5. Students will be able to summarize Ford and Carter's foreign and domestic policy triumphs and defeats.
6. Students will make historical connections between different events and their effect on the United States in the current generation.
7. Students will be able to analyze the "1980 Miracle on Ice" and make historical connections to the events going on during the time period.
